Libby C. story - One of our first early entrants that talked her mom into entering the derby with her.

If you can tell us a little about yourself, such as when you had the fishing bug bit you.

I started fishing when I was about 5-6 years old off the dock at my grandparents cottage.

A favourite time of the day to fish (you can keep your secret fishing holes to yourself, as most people who fish do!)

I love fishing during the day around 12 because at night there are a ton of bugs.

Your favourite person to fish with.

I really enjoy fishing by myself but I also like to fish with my Dad and Papa because they’re my competition. They also buy me worms!

Maybe the biggest fish caught with a photo if you have one.

The biggest fish I caught was a bass last weekend. It was approx 5-6 pds and was huge.

Do you have a most memorable fishing adventure?

My most memorable fishing trip was fishing with my family and my dad got a hook stuck in his finger and he started to scream. My mom was laughing so hard, she was crying, on the other end of the boat and couldn’t help him. It was really funny!

We would really like to know why you were so anxious to enter our derby that you talked your mom into registering you early.

I really wanted to win the new fishing rod and this would be my first derby. I wanted to try it and give the boys some competition.
